DJ FUNKY FINGERS
PRESENTS:
THE
GROWN & SEXY
EXPERIENCE

In the midst of all the craziness in the world, the issues which plague almost everyone, good music has always been a kind of solace. Our DJ Funky Fingers has also been using music for his own relaxation. In this escape, he has been experimenting with his toys, and re-imagining his own projects.
It started as his contribution to the "No Diddy" movement. He created a remix of B.I.G.'s "Mo' Money, Mo' Problems," replacing the Puffy & Mase verses with a verse from Big Pun, and replacing the Diana Ross "I'm Coming Out" loop with a groove which incorporates "Tell Me Are You Tired," a Santana deep cut, with a slick, "grown & sexy" feel.
On its own, it's a great remix, but Funky wanted to add Heavy D. into the mix. He decided to go with a verse from "I'll Do Anything," from the "Waterbed Hev" album. The verse blended nicely, not only cadence-wise, but Heavy's subject matter echoed the themes of women and money, following Biggie's verse like it was meant to be.
However, Heavy's hook, singing "I Can't Go For That" melded with the "Grown & Sexy" instrumental too perfectly to be denied. So a straight remix of "I'll Do Anything" was born.
Both "Mo' Money" and "Anything" are available for listening on the newly-formed YouTube channel. The EP also includes Funky's "Grown & Sexy" Instrumental, and is available on Skill Trade's Bandcamp site.
